Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Tu is the owner of Vision Boutique Optometry. He and his family are immigrants from Vietnam, narrowly escaping in 1978. After surviving in a refugee camp for one year, they were finally able to find a sponsor in the US and came over in 1979. They have since committed their lives to achieving the American dream and giving back to this great country.

Dr. Tu loves taking care of patients at Vision Boutique Optometry. Dr. Tu also consults and lectures for the optometric industry, administers and helps 33 Vision Source practices around San Diego County take better care of their patients, and volunteers for his profession, having served as San Diego County Optometric Society President, 2012, California Optometric Association President, 2020, and currently as Great Western Council of Optometry President-Elect. He was named Optometrist of the Year by the San Diego County Optometric Society in 2020.

Dr. Tu is married to his best friend, Susan, whom he met at the University of California at Irvine. They keep busy with their two kids, Adam and Audrey.
